What is an angle valve used for?

Angle valves are used to control the flow of water from faucets under kitchen and bathroom sinks.

Under geysers, separate angle valves are fitted for hot and cold water 

flow. Angle valves are also located in the toilet seat sections, to 

which pipes or health faucets are connected to create the bidet sprays.
